Where

Arundel Christian Church is located at 710 Aquahart Road in Glen Burnie, Maryland. We're directly across the street from Bruster's Ice Cream in the old Harundale Cinema movie theater building. If it is your first time visiting us, please be sure to put your flashers on your car when entering the parking lot and our ACC Parking Team will direct you to our Guest parking spaces.

What

Our services are designed to last approximately 70 minutes. You can expect to learn rich, deep, and even life-changing ideas about God, Jesus, and the Bible through study and worship. Expect to laugh, enjoy an engaging message, and hear our worship band lead us in songs written about and to Jesus. During this time, feel free to participate as little or as much as you feel comfortable -- if you prefer to just observe, you will not stand out doing so!

Our Values

We are committed to living out the values of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our mission is to love God, love others, and share the good news of Jesus Christ.

Love God

We encourage people to seek God, spend time with Him and grow deeper in their discovery and understanding of Him. Our weekend services are the primary environment for this to happen.

Love People

Here at ACC, we strive to create opportunities to express love, not only to God, but to others in our church and community. This happens through LifeGroups and serving alongside one-another.

Serve Our Community

We provide the opportunity to discover your God-given gifts and use them in service inside the church in ministry and outside through Outreach to the homeless and the marginalized of our community.

Our Beliefs

In essentials, unity. In non-essentials, liberty. And, in all things, love.

  • God

We believe in one sovereign God, the creator of all things, who is perfect in every way. God exists eternally in three distinct persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Through His divine power, God continues to sustain His creation to fulfill His redemptive purposes.

    Genesis 1:1, Matthew 5:16, Matthew 6:1-9, John 14:9-20, Acts 17:24-28, 1 Peter 1:2, 2 Corinthians 13:14, 1 John 5:1-12, Hebrews 11:3, James 1:17

  • Jesus

We believe that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is the one and only Savior. Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary – both fully human and fully God. Jesus lived a sinless life, died on the cross to atone for our sins, was raised from the dead on the third day, and is coming again.

    Matthew 1:18, Hebrews 4:15, 1 Corinthians 15:3-5, Luke 1:26-35, John 1:1, John 1:14, John 3:16, John 14:3, Philippians 2:6-11, Colossians 1:15-19, Colossians 2:9, 1 John 4:9, Acts 1:1-9, Colossians 3:1, Revelation 1:7-8

  • The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit provides every Christian with the guidance to do what is right and live fully as God originally designed. The Holy Spirit renews and indwells each believer upon salvation, becoming their source of power, assurance, strength, wisdom, and gifting for building up the church. People in a saving relationship with Jesus Christ are to live in holiness and obedience as they submit to the Holy Spirit.

    John 16:8, Romans 8:9-13, Romans 8:26, 1 Corinthians 3:16, 1 Corinthians 6:19, Galatians 5:22-23, Ephesians 1:13-14, 2 Timothy 1:14

  • The Bible

We believe the Bible—the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments—to be inspired by God. It was written by human authors under the guidance of the Holy Spirit and is the source of truth for our lives today and everyday. We hold that the Scriptures, in their original manuscripts, are infallible and inerrant; they are the unique, full, and final authority on all matters of faith and practice. There are no other writings similarly inspired by God.

    Psalm 119:105, Matthew 5:18, Mark 12:36, John 14:26, John 16:12-15, Acts 1:16, Romans 15:4, 1 Corinthians 2:12-13, 2 Timothy 3:14-17, 2 Peter 1:20-21

  • Man

Man is made in the spiritual image of God, to be like him in character. He is the supreme object of God’s creation. Although man has tremendous potential for good, he is marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God called “sin.” This attitude separates man from God.

    Genesis 1:27, Psalm 8:3-6, Isaiah 53:6a, Romans 3:23, Isaiah 59:1, 2

  • Sin

We believe that sin is any action, inaction, or attitude that is contrary to the nature or Word of God, which constitutes a rejection of His authority, resulting in alienation from God. Sin entered the world when Adam, representing humanity, disobeyed God. As a result of the one sin of Adam, his descendants – the whole human race – experience a broken and fallen world, desperately in need of salvation. God hates sin, and His Word is the ultimate source of what is and is not sin. Through the Holy Spirit, every believer has the power to avoid sin, and should repent of their sin when living outside of God’s plan. The penalty for sin is physical and spiritual death.

    Mark 7:2-23, Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23, 1 Corinthians 10:13, Galatians 5:19-21, James 4:17, 1 John 1:8-10, 1 John 3:4-10

  • Salvation

We believe that all of humanity willfully rebelled and sinned against God and is therefore separated from Him as a result. Thankfully, though, the forgiveness of sins is available to all those who accept the sacrifice of Jesus, repent from their sin, and claim Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Salvation is a free gift (not the result of human works), bestowed by God’s grace and received by faith in Christ alone. The Bible commands every believer in Christ to be baptized by immersion as their first step of obedience, and to share this Gospel with those outside of faith in Christ.

    Isaiah 53:6, Matthew 26:28, Matthew 28:18-20, John 10:27-28, John 20:21, Acts 2:38, Acts 3:19, Acts 4:12, Acts 8:36-39, Romans 3:23-24, Romans 5:1-2, Romans 5:9, Romans 6:1-4, Romans 10:9, 2 Corinthians 5:11-21, Galatians 3:27, Ephesians 2:8-10, Colossians 2:12, 1 Peter 1:18-19, 1 Peter 3:21, 1 John 1:7

  • Eternity

We believe all people, as God made them, were created to exist forever. And there is a day coming when Jesus will return to determine those who have separated themselves from God by sin and those who are in union with God through forgiveness. Having rejected God, unbelievers will suffer eternal condemnation apart from Him (Hell). Believers will be received into eternal communion with God (Heaven).

    John 3:16; 1 John 2:25; 1 John 5:11-13; Romans 6:23; Revelation 20:15; Matthew 25:31-46

  • The Church

The purpose of the Church, consisting of all believers everywhere, is to fulfill the last command of Jesus. We believe the church is part of God’s design to lead all people back to Him. The Church encourages and supports followers of Jesus while glorifying God through various forms of corporate service and worship. Christians are equipped with spiritual gifts, which enable them to minister in the church.

    Matthew 16:13-18; Matthew 28:16-20; Acts 2:14-47; Romans 12; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26; Ephesians 4:1-3; Ephesians 5:25-33; Galatians 5:13; 1 Peter 4:10; Hebrews 10:25

Three ways to belong:

There are three ways to belong here, representing three levels of growth as you explore the church and your faith. Partnering with Arundel Christian Church is a significant step towards engaging in the life of the church. As you consider making ACC your church home, consider these three options:

  • Attending

All people are welcome to attend Arundel Christian Church and be a part of our ministries. This includes weekend services, LifeGroups, Growth Courses, and special events. ACC is a safe and loving place to explore a relationship with God no matter where you are on your spiritual journey.

  • Partnering

This is where someone makes a commitment to really be a part of ACC at a deeper level — speaking into the life of the church and allowing the church to speak into him or her. Partners agree to embrace discipleship through working towards our 5 Catalysts: Worship Regularly, Connect Relationally, Grow Personally, Serve Sacrificially, and Give Generously. Additionally, those who have partnered with ACC enjoy certain benefits within the church.

  • Leading

While many of ACC’s volunteer roles are open to anyone in the church, specific roles in each ministry require being part of the Leadership Team, because volunteers who serve in these areas represent the church through leadership, teaching, and/or providing spiritual guidance for others.
